Sharp Cash Register Er-a420
My machine will not advance the roll of paper on the left that has the big black wheels on each side. What is wrong with this?

I assume you mean the journal roll (on the right). It should feed on every transaction. I have never seen a feed fault on these printers. Make sure you are using the correct width paper (44mm). Make sure you have fed it through correctly.
