Paper Will Not Load

Hi there! I'm currently attempting to reload a new roll of paper into my calculator and I've tried many different methods resulting in no progress. From what I can see it looks as if the paper doesn't go far enough into the calculator when loading for the spinning gears/springs to have contact with it and pull it into the machine, however, I cannot manage to get the paper any further. Please help as I'm not very intelligent in this field with these machines and I cannot find any information online about this specific problem. Thank you in advance
