Seiko Interchange Movement

my watch man tells me my seiko h601-5400 is not fixable due to unavailabilityof parts. i have now found a seiko h601-5390 with a damaged digital display but otherwise ok. my question is this. can the 5390 parts be used to fix the 5400?

As long as the watch model says Seiko H601 it will work as a donor movement. Take it to a decent watchmaker to swap it out. And make avsolutely sure to use the coreect battery or it will ruin the movement!
