Hands Have Stopped Moving

The hour, minute and small second hands have inexplicably stopped moving. This happened overnight for no obvious reason. The alarm movements are still functioning. I reset the time but still no hand movement. I have since reset the IC, adjusted the stopwatch second & minute hands and operated the stopwatch. These are working correctlyt. There has been no indication of battery life failure.
