Backup Plus Slim 2 Tb On My Mac. Doesn't Work

I installed it. Followed all directions. There is nothing for the Mac which appeared. I cannot back up to the Seagate Plus Slim. There is no Mac cloud. I can't back up to the external hard drive. I bought the product to back up to the external. Please help!
