There's a red cap on the side of the transmission. You remove the cap and check to see if the fluid is level with the hole. If it's level with the hole, you're all set. If tranny fluid comes out, it was too high. If you can stick you finger in the hole and not feel any fluid, then it is too low. You add fluid through the same hole. I rarely recommend going to a garage for anything, but this is one thing that's better left for a garage to check.
