Look for the fuse box, usually under the dash, but may be under the hood. Look in the owners manual under fuses and it will tell you where the box is. Remove the lid and usually on the inside of the lid there is a list of all the fuses and what its for. Find "cigarette lighter" or "accessories" or any description that may mean lighter. Correspond it to the fuses and pull the fuse to see if it's burnt. Replace with new one of same amperage as the old one. Amp rating is printed on the end facing you. i.e. 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 etc. Replace lid and try lighter.
