Picture Delay/freeze

Our Santo 55" DP55441 has recently been experiencing delay in picture motion and even appears frozen. For instance, when navigating through the Menu, the screen holds the previous picture frame for a number of seconds before "dissolving". With each movement or selection made, the pictures freeze to the screen behind the new image. While watching movies, etc.the same issue arises along with a significant delay and sync issue between sound and picture retrieval. What can we do? What is wrong with our TV?
