Remote Control Quit Working

I've had this new Sanyo DP26640 for about a month and today the remote won't work. I've checked the batteries. The led light signal that would come on when a button it pressed is not working either. Any ideas?

This sounds like the circuit board that has the remote control receiver and the power "ON" LED indicator is either not working, came unplugged, or has fallen out of place. since it's new a shop will repair it under warranty.
