I Have A Top Washer#wa11u3dec/xst.the Spin Cycle Has Stopped Working.the Technic

an said I need a new motor but it may take several months.If the motor washes,Ithink it should spin.I bought it 14 months ago.Why was it sold with no backup parts available?Can anyone help?The machine sticker says 5-year warranty.
