Why is my Samsung washer leaking water from underneath?

Washer Hose Kinked or Damaged

Kinked or damaged hoses can cause leaks beneath the washer. After inspecting the hose connections, check the water inlet and drain hoses for cracks or holes that can leak water. Also, look for kinks that can damage the hose or restrict water flow.

Why is my washer leaking during wash cycle?

Leaks under the washer are commonly caused by a damaged water pump or compromised hoses connected to the pump. Usually, you will notice lots of rumbling or shaking from the machine during a wash cycle if the pump is faulty. The water pump in a washer is generally located at the bottom of the machine.

Why would a washing machine leak from underneath?

A washer leaking from the bottom can cause significant damage to your home if it is not fixed quickly. In most cases, the leak will be caused by a loose or punctured drain hose, a fault with the drain pump, or a worn-out tub-to-pump hose.

Check underneath for a split in the pipe that goes to the circulating pump and emptying pump. It is made of rubber material which in time can split allowing water to escape. The other problem could be the filler assembly also having a leak when engaged to fill the machine.

Hope that helps.
