How Do I Put The Springs In The Vertical Hinge On The Left Door?

The spring on the vertical hinge at the top is missing> I bought the spring and the plastic "pin" but am unable to find where the pin fits and how the spring connects to the door at the top. The top spring slot is different from the bottom one.
