How Can I Get Ht-bd2 To Eject Disc ?

Long term issue - unit displays "loading" constantly when in disc function - if I press "eject" nothing happens - ever. (This is a slot insert not tray)I have disconnected from power. For a few minutes and also for a few months. I have changed function and tried eject - it flips to disc mode and displays "loading" constantly. System is perfectly functioning for surround sound from tv but cannot watch a disc. Any tips would be appreciated.
