How To Convert The Drive To Slave Drive

On the back of the hard drive.. Near the datacable. You'll see a little back/white little plastic jumper. You'll need needle-nose pliers to get it out. Carefully pull out the jumper from it's current spot and put it into the slave position It may show that to make the drive a slave drive.. Not to use any jumpers at all.. in which all you do is simply remove the jumper.

There should be a diagram on the hard drive itself to let you know where the jumper should go for the slave spot.. However. Doing this. You must make sure that you have a Master along the same datacable. Like a CD-ROM drive, or a 2nd hard drive designated as Master.. Otherwise, your computer might not function properly.
