If you find the cost or availability of a guard for your grinder is too prohibitive. Then take a visit to your nearest DIY store and purchase the cheapest grinder. You will find the guard will be the same as the Ryobi one if the size of blade is the same. This is just a simple bit of info which may help you get your tool working again.
