Hi, there are two waste toner bottles. If the message is saying waste toner bottle 1 it's the bottle in front, open the front cover and you'll see the waste toner bottle, push down on the two tabs to release it. It's easier to replace it than empty it, but you can empty it by pulling the plug and pouring it out (just be careful not to make a mess).
