Ricoh Aficio 1035

We are trying to use our copier 2 sided for the first time and are running into some issues. When we copy the screen says Duplex is not set, set it properly. Any suggestions on how to fix?

Hi, the duplex unit on that machine is on the far right side. When you are getting that message, it means either that whole duplex unit (the rectangular unit on the right side) isn't closed all the way, or the small duplex cover door on the top right side of the duplex unit isn't closed all the way. If you make sure the duplex unit is closed against the machine, and the duplex cover is closed, that message should go away.

It turned out there's a small metal tab on the machine that pushes a switch on the duplex unit. This tab was bent on our machine and wasn't engaging the switch. Thanks freginold for pointing me in the right direction!
