Headphones Dont Go On The Transmitter Light Is On Whats The Problem Battery Good

headphones dont go anymore but the transmitter light is red. i changed new batteries and put switch on headphones and no signal or light. this happened when i replaced battery and now its dead what good be the problem it was working fine up to now help plz
