Remote Control
Just purchased a rtd317w dvd/surround sound system for my father. I would like to program his comcast remote to eliminate so many remote controllers. I have tried using the search mode on the comcast remote with no success. Is there a control code that will work.

Have device code 1254 or 31254 programed to AUX. Then follow these steps.....
1. Press and release AUX
2. Press and hold SETUP until remote blinks twice
3. Enter 994
4. Press and release SETUP
5. Enter 64257
6. Press and release SETUP
7. Press and release POWER
This worked for me, hope it works for you.

1. Turn on Home Theater Device.
2. Press AUX on Comcast remote. Then Press and Hold SetUp unitil the AUX key blinks twice then Release Setup Key.
3. Enter 9-9-4 The AUX Key will blink twice.
4. Press and Release the 1 key. The AUX Key will blink twice.
5. Press Power and aim the remote to the Device until it turns off. Press SetUp key to lock the code.
The other post helped me get to this resolution. Hope it works for you. I had a hard time programing this Home Theater.
