No Volume On My Pyle Prjg45 When Connected To My Dvd Player ?

For some reason when I connect my pyle prjg45 to my DVD player, I cannot hear the movie. Am I missing something, do I need to connect to a speaker ? I am lost ! Somebody please help me.
