Gps Always Change The Screen Brightness And Color So I Can't See The Screen

Ok do I just brought this radio from amazon and I have a few problem with it for the most part when I enter map mode the color and brightness changea so I can't see the screen I was wondering if any one else has this problem or know how to fix and and when I insert a DVD it doesn't play on the radio
