Step 1
Locate the reset button. The reset button is found on the front panel of the device. The location of the button on the front panel varies based on the brand and model of carbon monoxide detector.
Step 2Hold down the reset button for five to 10 seconds.
Step 3Release the reset button. The device will either beep, a light will light up to indicate the device is now working, or both.
