What does message engine hot ac- air conditioning off means

I try fixing it based on the manual instructions but it doesn't work. The mechanic found out that the Temperature sensor is not working, they drain all the engine coolant first before replacing the sensor. They make sure all the air inside the engine escaped and replaced by the coolant, it takes a liittle while but it works properly. Be careful when opening the coolant container, it's hot.
