2006 Pontiac Gxp 5.3 V8 Major Oil Leak

Hello, I have a 2006 pontiac gxp 5.3 v8 with a major oil leak on the passenger side of the engine. Because oil is leaking onto the serpentine belt, everything on that side of the motor is covered in oil - even the top of the alternator! What could possible be causing a leak in that area? The leak is substantial- a quart every 20-30 miles and leaves a puddle everywhere I park. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Luke
