2003 Pontiac Sunfire Emergency Brake

Had new brakes installed on 03 Pontiac Sunfire today. However, in driving, brakes operate normally but wne accelerating feels like emergency brake is engaged. E-brake is released and no light is lit on instrument panel. Smell burning smell while driving.
