my ignition key wont move into the off position

I have one withe the same problem, My resurch says it is the gear shift lever switch conection in the console. It has come loose and is not showing it is in park. there is a small hole under the switch that will release it manually. I am leaving it in and uing the fob to lock it until I have time to fix it.
