If the leak is from the radiator overflow there is a chance you have a leaking head gasket. This will blow cylinder gasket into the engine water jacket, pressurizing it and forcing water out the overflow. This can crude up your radiator and cause overheating if it goes on long enough. At highway speeds the pressure can build up faster than the overflow can relieve it and blow out a freeze plug (core plug) causing immediate loss of coolant. This can strand you on the highway till another core plug is installed and coolant replaced.

I hope this is helpful to you!
