Is The Issue The Phone Or The M25 Headset?

How can I determine if it my M25 or my 3GS IPhone that keeps losing signal and gives that annoying message that no device is paired then immediately says device paired. My phone is less than 2 feet away most of the time and stationary

Try borrowing a headset from a friend and pair with your phone. If you continue to receive the same error message, you know it's your phone. If the problem goes away, it's the headset and will need to replaced.
