What's The Right Amp?

You want to look for an amp that has a high RMS wattage number do not pay much attention to peak wattage...Most very cheap under powered amps will post their peak wattage on the box or in thier specs then try to hide their rms rating. RMS is the amount of power your amp can produce continuously, where as you may see an amp that says 5000 watts peek, but peak wattage is the amount that amp can produce as a once time jolt to musical peaks, peak what is not continuous or sustaind wattage. Also look for an amp that can bridge down, that means running subs in parallel and series wiring configurations safely. A good amp can bridge down to .5 ohms or lower. There are many good brands out there nowadays, you just gotta know the few important specs, and im sure there are a few brands that will do you well. My suggestions would be Pioneer, JL audio or pheonix gold or precision power.
Pioneer and JL amps are amazing and should give you all you need and more, the last two brands i mentioned are pretty much over kill competion type brands.. good luck have fun and enjoy those pioneer subs they will hit like a frieght train..!
