Bluetooth Won't Sync With My Iphone After A 1 Year Of Using It Can't Pair

Cant pair Bluetooth to my iPhone worked fine for a year or so then for no apparent reason just stoped .. do I reset it differently than just taking the battery off if so what exactly do I need to d
