Cleaning Right-hand Thread Slot On The Front Of My Pfaff Quilt Expression 4.0

The right-hand thread guide on the front of my Pfaff Quilt Expression 4.0 machine continually jams: the thread is stuck and either breaks, shreds or changes the top tension as I sew. How can I get at the inside of this part of the machine to clean it out (without sending to repairman).
