Bobbin Holder Not Moving

my bobbin thread was misbehaving and making a big mess while in reverse, while my top thread was fine. I removed the strike plate and cleaned the bobbing casing and surround. now my bobbin won't turn in the case. i engage the hand wheel and the needle goes up and down and the motor sounds fine. bobbin is not moving. i read that the set screw may have come loose and it said something about a hook needing to engage to turn the bobbin. i need a diagram of this set screw and a description of how to access this. honestly, i can't afford to have it serviced and i use my machine all the time. I take good care of it so i think i could fix it with a little guidance. I would appreciate the help. Thanks so much.

Have you tried the tension of the thread? There are three places that you should try Thread tension of the needle, the plate (under the foot) and thread tension of the bobbin. If none of these things are helping, you may have to take it to a repair shop.
