When Will Pep Boys Stop Its Unfair Labor Practices Of Service Employees?

The comission plan for service employees is extremely unfair. Our duty is to be on site. Pep Boys is responsible to bring in work. When Pep Boys fails, at this responsibilty, the service employees pay should not be so significently reduced; below poverty level. An employee should be fairly paid, for each and every minute  they are punched "in". Service employee pay plan needs to be revised.  I hope this gets the proper attention, that all of your employees deserve. I hope to receive a fair and logical response.   Thanks

Hi, my name is Josh. I understand your concern because I am an advisor for Pep Boys in Florida.  While many stores have a lower customer count and therefore fewer opportunities to make commission (which, on the commission rate, I agree should be increased), there are just as many stores that have a high customer count that generates an advisor well over the base pay during a pay period. Our store in Pensacola is fairly well positioned and our average advisor takes home the equivalent of $10.50/hr. I agree to keep petitioning for a higher commission rate because the 1-2 % that we get now is pretty low, but in your case, I would see about transferring to a more active store until corporate decides to increase the commission for its advisors.
