Phone Rings Once And Then Stops

When an incoming call is made, the base unit and hand units ring only once, display an incoming call. The caller can only hear the one ring, yet if they stay on the line for a few moments, I can pick up the call. How can I get the phone to ring more than once?

There is a lose connection somewhere along the cable.Check or change the pair.To prove that,go and connect the phone direct to that extension port on the PABX & see whether it will cut-off again.
