What Version Of Sql*net Is Running On My Oracle 10g Database?
I need to verify the version of sql*net that is running on my Oracle 10g database. The software vendor requires Oracle Sql*net 10.2.0.1.0. How do I tell what version is running? Note: I am NOT a dba. Thanks.

You can check the Oracle version by running a query from the command prompt. The version information is stored in a table called v$version. In this table you can find the version information for Oracle, PL/SQL, etc.
SYNTAXThe syntax to retrieve the Oracle version information is (Use any one):
- SELECT * FROM v$version;
- SELECT * FROM v$version WHERE banner LIKE 'Oracle%';
