Tensioner

how do you replace the serpentine belt tensioner on a 98 aurora? there doesn't seem to be any space to remove it easily.

You have to remove the upper engine mount brakets to be able to slide the belt out. Place a jack under the engine ( carefully so you dont mess up the oil pan ) remove bolts holding motor mount brackets to engine, remove long bolt from engine braket to the braket mounted to the frame, then remove braket off of engine. It helps to jack the engine up a bit to access bolts on the bottom.
