What Is The Problem If Nokia X2-01 Says Operation Failed When You Open Contacts

Greetings - Try pulling out the battery while the phone is running or turned on > instert it after 5 seconds > turn the phone on again > wait atleast 2 minutes and then attempt accessing the contacts list and observe.

In the extrem the system may have been corrupted - in which case you will have to backup your personal files, apps and contacts onto an SD card and take both it and the sim card out when done (backup using the backup function under Settings > Sycn & Backup > Create backup...) - and then perform a Factory Restore (Settings > Rest. factory sett. > enter security code 12345 unless changed...). Insert the SD card and recover the backup from it after the factory restore (restore as in Settings > Sycn & Backup > restore backup...) > when all is done, try acccessing the contacts list again and observe.
