Question About My Cvt

I have concerns about my 2008 Nissan Sentra and the CVT. Ive noticed after the mileage turned around 70,000 that when it shifts into first gear from a stop the shift would lag and shake as if shifting a manual and you don't lift off the clutch evenly with the gas. Also when driving speeds of 70 - 80 on the interstate, the tranny will whine until I manually shift with my foot and gas to a lower gear. I did bring it to a Nissan dealer who said there was nothing wrong with the CVT and stated maybe I need a transmission service. I brought it to my mechanic who said it was too early for a tranny service wait until 100,000 miles that the fluid wasn't burnt. I am driving from NH to FLA in 2wks and I am concerned that it will fail on the way down. Could I have some expert answers to this concern, please. Thank you very much. Donna O.
