Why Does The Drivers Side Window Not Work All The Time?

Two days in a row, the window will go down when I get in it in the morning but after sitting for 4 hours will not go down. About 5 hours later it will work again. It doesnt matter if the ignition is on or if car is started. One time I did hear clicking while pressing the button.
