Keeps Cutting Off When I Brake Or If It Idles Low

my 2004 nissan quest keeps cutting off whenever i brake or at low idle. how can i find what is causing this? it has been suggested that i need to replace the idle control sensor. i cannot seem to find any information as how to do this. thanks in advance for any and all help. :)
