Camera Shutter Won't Close And 'lens Error' Shows

i dropped my camera with the lens closed in shallow water.  i now have a "lens error".  will the camera dry out and work again?

The lens holder should have been disrupted from place due to impact. I suggest showing it to the repairman. Dont take your chances by turning it on again, but I doubt it will get any worse.Good luck.
