No, Net10 phones must start with their own new sim card, and you can't switch it with any other sim.  If you need a new phone number (due to crank calls or change of address), they will send you a new sim card and change the number for you.  This will require a frustrating exchange with their outsourced customer service, but you will probably be successful in the end.  But you can't just pop in another sim, even from a different Net10 phone.  As for smart phones, check their website for the latest phones for sale.
