Why Am I Not Able To Join Myspace? It Refuses To Read The Verification Code!

I have been tryin to join MySpace for over an hour This is my first time in attempting to join Everytime I do the verification code it refuses to read its own stupid code. I have made 15 attempts whithout success, I keep getting "Incorrect varification code. please try again" I have windows XP I am using IE and have a dial up server I have added MySpace to "Compatibility View Settings" Is there anything else I have left out or forgotten to do? Thank you for your response in advance
