Username And Password

I need to change my password.  I have trouble reading the little font on that little piece of paper. I have called in and it is a $30 charge.  I've been told I can chat on line for free.  Could you help me with that. Our cable company quit using routers so I had to purchase one.  I felt this one would be good.  We went ahead a got the modem instead of renting it from the cable company.
