Scan Feature

Hello, I have the Motorola HT750 2-way radio and the only buttons on it are the four on the side and the emergency button on the top. The radio continuously scans and I need to know how to turn the scan feature off so it will no longer scan any of the other channels.  I sure would appreciate your help on this matter.   Ed Baker - Monticello Police Department

It depends on how your particular radio is programmed.  Usually one of the 2 bottom buttons will be a scan button.  Try pressing each of them once and see if it goes off.  If not then try each one on a long press (usually set for around 2 to 5 seconds).  If that doesn't do it try with the top button.  If none of those work the program might be set up to automatically scan.  Take it to your nearest Motorola dealer to check the programming.  There might be a small fee (usually around $10) but you can have the buttons configured to what you want.
