Unit Just Stopped Working.

the headset gave me a "battery is medium" message so I plugged it in to my car charger for a full charge 2 minutes later I got a call so I opened the mike tab but nothing happened. I tried plugging it in to the charger but the indicator light did not light either red or green. I tried a USB charger but still no lights. I rebooted my phone, still nothing. The headset appears dead. What can I do? I have used it about a year and it is really great, until now. It was a gift.
