Hi, in order for both bluetooth devices to work correctly. They need to have the same bluetooth profile to work. Below are the Bluetooth Profiles of H17.

Hands Free (HFP),Headset (HSP)

Headset Profile - This is the most commonly used profile, providing support for the popular Bluetooth Headsets to be used with mobile phones

Hands free Profile - This is commonly used to allow car hands-free kits to communicate with mobile phones in the car

If you are using the device to listen to music it does not support that feature. You need to have a Bluetooth headset that has the (A2DP) feature. Advance Audio Distribution Profile, to listen to music..

Hope this helps!
