How Can I Access My Old Hotmail Account And Emails?

My MSN account is either hacked or blocked, I'm not sure. Each time I try to log in I am prompted to reset my password, and then they ask for a code which I don't have. I tried using my alternate MSN address but I keep getting messages that it doesn't exist. At one point I succeeded and gained access to my account but only partially, I was able to see my profile and private information but I didn't have access to my inbox. I logged out and tried to log back in again, but I was prompted to reset my password again! I don't know is going on, can somebody please help me to regain access to my MSN account and inbox with all my emails. Also, why am I getting messages that my MSN alternate address doesn't exist?
