Hotmail Email And Messenger Account

My email account has been taken over by a thirth person, my pasword has been changed by them and I cannot go into my own email anymore. I am aware that I can ask to sent the pasword to a back up email given to the system when the account was made but this back up email was from my previous firm and so not active anymore. I have followed the procedure to ask help and they said 48 to 72 hours now it is 5 days later. Am I ever going to get a response on this. I really need to recover this email adresse to much important information is in there.
