Instant Messaging

I BOUGHT A SAMSUNG FREEFOAM PHONE AFTER THE UPGRADE TO THE SYSTEM ON MARCH 31, 2011. I WAS TOLD THIS PHONE WAS COMPATIBLE WITH INSTANT MESSAGING WHEN I PURCHASED PHONE ON APRIL 2, 2011. I HAD INSTANT MESSAGING UP UNTIL APRIL 20,2011 AND NOW I DONT. I AM EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED. CAN YOU HELP?
